Poonam Poonam Chhunchha
District Rotaract Representative

Poonam Chhunchha is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a degree in Biology. She has been involved with Rotaract since 2003 and helped re-start the Rotaract Club at University of Maryland where she served as Vice-President and President. She has attended four USCC Conferences and attended 2 Rotary International Conventions. Currently she is serving as District Rotaract Representative and is a member of the Prince George's County Rotaract club.
Brendan Brendan Adams
Treasurer/Secretary

Brendan Adams is a graduate of Allegheny College with a BA degree in Political Science.  He has been involved in Rotaract since 2006 and is the President of the Rotaract Club of Capitol City - Washington, D.C.  His past leadership roles include serving as Director of Public Relations & Chair of the Philippine Disaster Relief Project for the February 2006 Mudslide in Southern, Leyte. He has attended 1 USCC Conference and 1 Rotary International Convention. Currently, Brendan is serving as the District Treasurer & Secretary, as well the Executive Director for the District 7620 Rotaract Project for Mine Action in Cambodia.
Nakia Nakia Bell
Fundraising Co-Chair

Nakia Bell grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended the Community College of Baltimore County and transferred to Hood College (Frederick, Maryland), where she received her Bachelor’s degree in economics. Nakia has held many leadership positions in college and has served her college community as a Bonner Scholar, receiving a reward for her commitment to serve. Nakia has volunteered in various areas, such as social services, education, environmental health, mentoring, and international initiatives. Currently, Nakia works with the Association of American Colleges and Universities (Washington, DC) to promote a quality liberal education for all students. She serves as the Capitol Hill Rotaract Club International Service Director and the District Fundraising Co-Chair; she is also the Public Relations Co-Chair for the District 7620 Rotaract Project for Mine Action in Cambodia.
Gwen Gwen Brink
Fundraising Co-Chair

Gwen Brink attended the College of William and Mary and received a degree in International Finance.  While there, she was the Service Director to all of the student athletes and initiated many community service events.  She was first introduced to rotaract while studying abroad at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.  She was a charter member of their club and upon her return to William and Mary, she paired with two other students to charter a club there and assume the role of Treasurer.  Currently, Gwen is the Treasurer and Director of Fundraising for the Rotaract Club of Capitol City – Washington, D.C. and the District 7620 Fundraising Co-Chair.  She is also the Administrative and Sponsorship Co-Chair for the District 7620 Rotaract Project for Mine Action in Cambodia.
Aparna Aparna Kothary
Director of Social Activities

Aparna has been involved with Rotaract since her freshman year of college as a member of the University of Maryland - College Park Rotaract Club.  During her senior year, she served as the Club Historian. Aparna has attended three conventions with her club: Rotary International Convention 2005 in Chicago, United States Canada Caribbean Conference 2006 in Los Angeles, and the Rotary International Convention 2007 in Salt Lake City.  Currently, Aparna serves as the Director of Club Service for the Rotaract Club of Prince George's County.  She is also the Administrative & Sponsorship Co-Chair for the District 7620 Rotaract Project for Mine Action in Cambodia, as well as the District Director of Social Activities.  Please email Aparna at aparnakothary@gmail.com with any suggestions for club socials!
 
Jenn Jennifer Gifford
Director of Public Relations

Jennifer Gifford has been involved with Rotaract since 2005 as a member of the Rotaract Club of Capitol City - Washington, D.C.   She is the Webmaster for the Rotaract Club of Capitol City – Washington, D.C. and previously served as Interact Chair.  Jennifer attended the 2006 United States Canada Caribbean Conference in Los Angeles and served as the Webmaster for the 2007 conference in Salt Lake City. Currently, Jennifer is the District Director of Public Relations, as well as the Public Relations Co-Chair for the District 7620 Rotaract Project for Mine Action in Cambodia.
 
Tom

Thomas Kim
Assistant Director of Public Relations

Thomas Kim is a graduate of Duquesne University with a BS degree in Business Administration/IT.  Tom has been involved with Rotaract since 2007 as a member of the Rotaract Club of Capitol City - Washington, D.C. and is currently the Assistant Webmaster.  Tom is also serving as the District Assistant Director of Public Relations.
